Or should I say that this week has been hell. I am not sure how to feel about the things that have gone through these past few days. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. My worst fears had come true.

The Past

I was unsure how to begin but I decided on starting from the point I encountered the events as that's likely to reflect the reality of the reader. It all began with the arrival of a derelict megaship in the Chukchan system. Derelict and abandoned megaships were unheard off and the arrival of Adamastor, as this megaship was called, created a lot of noise in the bubble. On proper inspection, it was discovered that it was travelling at sublight speeds for two centuries! The disappearance of the crew was a mystery but few realised at that time, how dark the reason would turn out be.

The Adamastor transmitted encrypted signals which led to the discovery of a sister megaship called the Hesperus. The decryption key was supplied by an anonymous source called "Salvation". CMDRs were able to access some data even as it was being taken apart by the Scriveners.

The Scrivener clan's Dredger(near) and the Hesperus(far)

Then, Salvation called again. This time, he used the minor faction Taurus Mining Ventures as a mouthpiece to announce a reward to anyone submitting the logs collected from the Hesperus. He claimed to be a scientist and the saviour of humanity. Many believed him, including me. His words were sweet given the daily incursions of Thargoids in human space. But in hindsight, this was another red flag.

The Thargoids continued attacking human space, including Delphi, where Aegis was based. Alexandria, the Aegis owned megaship jumped out to protect losses and was carrying a large quantity of Guardian artefacts. The Thargoids kept the chase. The last communications received from the Alexandria was when it was preparing to jump to HIP 30944. But they never reached there.

Aegis informed the media that they were presuming that the Alexandria was lost with all hands aboard. Soon after, Salvation emerged again claiming that tracking some listening posts would lead to the survivors from Hesperus. Considering that it was over 200 years old, surely no one could survive, right?

The Hesperus

Tracking these signals led to the discovery of a Guardian vs Thargoid battlefield. Quickly, both the Aegis and the Taurus Mining Ventures moved in to claim the site. Remember how Salvation spoke through the Taurus Mining Ventures? Remember the red flag that we should have seen?

Both Aegis and Taurus Mining Ventures asked for Guardian artefacts to be delivered in order to secure the bid to claim the site. By now, Aegis had become hugely unpopular, mostly because of how ineffective it was to control the Thargoid threat. This caused people round the bubble to rally up for Taurus Mining Ventures, a seemingly independent minor faction and they won by a huge margin. The Aegis suffered a huge blow when it was suspended and an inquiry into the disappearance was established under the joint order of all three super powers.

At this point, the timer of the mysterious "Hyford's Cache" expired releasing a message pointing to the HIP 26176 system where details regarding Project Seraph was found. This was an inhuman experiment to attempt to integrate a human pilot with a Thargoid ship. Only one test subject managed to escape, "D-2" with the help of someone from Oaken Point. There were references to something or someone called "The Witch" and Azimuth.

Hyford's crashed ship

Salvation was able to predict an attack on Cornsar and was able to make the Thargoids withdraw, claiming that he had a weapon capabale of being a better deterrant than what Aegis ever could be.

Aegis Admiral, Aden Tanner called out the unauthorized activation of a weapon by Salvation as Taurus Mining Ventures' megaship, Bright Sentinal, moved to Merope on Salvation's request. Looking back it was odd that no one considered the fact that Taurus Mining Ventures doing what Salvation commanded was unnatural. But to many of us, Salvation gave what Aegis couldn't and many were willing to turn a blind eye to everything else. No one listened to Tanner and frustrated, he initiated a rogue battle with Taurus Mining Ventures helmed by the megaship, Musashi. Unfortunately, he lost and was arrested by Aegis soon after. This was in effect the final piece to Salvation's goal.

The super powers started to accept that Salvation was better than what any of them could do and slowly started giving their support. Aegis was shut down and all their assets and personnel were distributed among the super powers. Soon after, as if by coincidence, the megaship Alexandria was found after 7 months. Its condition pointed to the fact that it was attacked and no survivors or Guardian relics were found. It was found that the raiders who attacked the Alexandria worked for someone called "The Witch". This harked back to the logs found regarding Project Seraph. This "Witch", whoever they were, had managed to survive over 200 years and were determined to continue their xenological research. Other data suggested that "The Witch" worked for something called the Azimuth Biochemicals.

Fort Asch in HIP 22460 7 C

This information caused some within the powers to appeal for the Aegis to be reinstated but it was already too late. The Thargoids started attacking multiple systems en-masse. Surprisingly, they withdrew every time a claimed weapon by Salvation was fired. But Salvation's anonymity and true intentions were not hidden for long. INRA outposts in the system DG Canum Venaticorum were found thanks to an untraceable tip. And the information contained in their suggested that Salvation was none other than Dr Caleb Wycherley, former vice-president of research at Azimuth Biochemicals and his team was responsible for the development of the controversial mycoid bioweapon deployed by INRA during the First Thargoid War. And as should be obvious now, Dr Caleb Wycherley was nicknamed "The Witch"! It is presumed that the details of this information might have come from the escaped test subject "D-2". Salvation, once realising that his secret is out, quickly proceeded to rebranding Taurus Mining Ventures to Azimuth Biotech. Yes, that Taurus Mining Ventures that independent CMDRs from all over the bubble has been supporting since the first day. Remember the red flags we all missed?

This information enraged a lot of CMDRs including me. I felt cheated and dragged around like a fool. I decided to join a coalition of independent CMDRs called "Operation: Wych Hunt". This was organised by CMDR Psykit and we all wanted to try and hurt Azimuth Biotech as much as we could. Our goal was strip them off all their assets and kick them out of all systems they were in. We knew that we were going against a psychotic madman who had the backing of all three super powers, still we tried to drag them down as much as possible, maybe until an alternative appeared. Moreoever, we were apprehensive of the outcome of his plans. Because if he fails, no one had any idea what that would result in.

Leaving a settlement after a hard fought victory against Azimuth Biotech

But nothing like that happened and Salvation soon announced his ultimate weapon against the Thargoids. A weapon to relieve us from the Thargoid problem once and for all. He called it the "Proteus Wave". A fitting name for a man who calls himself "Salvation" and is nicknamed "The Witch". Despite all our efforts to delay the inevitable, Salvation fired the weapon on the 9th of August 3308.

The Present

I reached the system HIP 22460, where the weapon would be fired from a day early. No matter what happened, I wanted a front row seat. I went and landed at a few nearby planets because who knows if I would be able to do that in the future. After that, I docked at the Bright Sentinal, Salvation's megaship to take a quick look at the general mood of the people there. Everyone looked pretty confident. Maybe Salvation's confidence rubbed off of them or maybe they actually believed the weapon would work. Anyway, with a few hours till the firing, I was considering if I should stay docked or leave the megaship. I decided to leave and that would lead to one of the best decisions I have taken as a CMDR. I parked my ship right above the permit exclusion zone of the planet 10B, almost vertically above the location of the Proteus Wave.

One last look from HIP 22460 13 E before the Proteus Wave fired

At 0800 hrs, the Proteus Wave fired. There was a moment when I felt like, "Did he actually succeed?". I was hearing about Thargoid ships stopping dead in their tracks through the comms, as if someone pulled their plugs. Their was a moment of joy even though I was fighting Salvation the past 2 months. Then, things went south. The Proteus Wave started generating anomalous signals and huge energy bursts. My HUD was glitched and I could hardly access my panels. My COVAS sounded like they had a sore throat. The comms were now filled with CMDRs reporting the the stopped Thargoids had come back to life and were more aggressive than ever. Dread started to fill me and I knew our worst fears were coming true. I proceeded to jump to supercruise when two interceptors jumped in and tried to disable my ship. Thankfully, I was carrying a Shutdown Field Neutraliser. They proceeded to shoot me. No scanning, nothing! I wasn't carrying anything that would generally make them mad. Straight up aggression. I continued to attempt to supercruise but they were inhibiting my ability to supercruise due to their high Mass Lock Factor. I was torn between switching to High Waking or keep boosting while watching my shields vanishing and my hull thinning. Fortunately, I was able to boost enough to get out of their Lock Factor influence and jumped to supercruise.

The site of the Proteus Wave. Came back with a better ship for one last look

Once in supercruise, I calmed my nerves. I knew what I was into. I noticed that my ship electronics were still glitching and my Guardian modules were rendered useless. The first thing I remembered was to check the status of Bright Sentinel. Salvation or not, they were still humans. I jumped into Bright Sentinel and I was met with a sight of absolute destruction. It was completely destroyed and even if there were any survivors, the Thargoids were methodically, checking them out. I knew my Asp Explorer, "Antrix" was useless. I didn't want to add another number to the tally of casualties and immediately jumped out before the Thargoids could get a hint of my presence.

I roamed around the system, checking each megaship and Capital ship present in the system and wherever I dropped in, I saw nothing but destruction. Realising the futility of my presence, I jumped out of the system and docked at my Carrier which was in another system a few LY away.

Once in relative safety, I was able to ponder a bit on what happened. The Proteus Wave didn't work. The site of the weapon has turned into visual spectacle of an anomaly and no one really knows what's happening down there. The Thargoids are madder than ever and HIP 22460 is lost to the Thargoids. Some brave CMDRs are still fighting the Thargoids with non-Guardian weapons but I don't know how long we can sustain this. Salvation's fate is unknown and the pessimist in me says that he will be back. Someone who has plotted this for over 200 years has to have a plan B or C or D or ...

Meanwhile, there is a discernible silence from the super powers. They went all in on Salvation and all the lives that were lost in HIP 22460 are as much on their hands as is Salvation's. I am eagerly waiting for what they have to say about this mess. Right now, the future is very uncertain. As uncertain as the ... thing that I am carrying with me. It seems like this thing has raised the curiosity of both Ram Tah and Prof. Palin and is giving me big bucks for them. Hopefully, they find some answers, cause there are a lot of questions. A lot of questions from a lot of angry people in the galaxy.

Change of course

Its been a little over 5 years since I got my pilot's license. What a ride it has been and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. But, as mentioned in my earlier post, change is a part of the journey and I believe my current journey has come to an end.

I have been with the Knights of Karma for almost all of these 5 years. During the initial years, I was a fledgling who had to be told what to do and how to do it. I rose up the ranks and led a successful Colonia campaign and life has never been the same.

Managing 2 minor factions, 22000 LY apart has taken a toll over my body and mental health. I have found myself panicking whenever the influences start to drop by 5%. Managing diplomacy has been more of a sad experience rather than a fun one. I have come to realize that if I want to continue my career, I needed to look into a different direction.

It hurts to say this, it really does, but I am leaving the Knights of Karma squadron. I started out as a lone wolf, and I want to go back to be one. Atleast, I won't be as clueless as I was 5 years ago. My squadron mates has been like my family and they have guided me and made me who I am today, and I will be forever thankful for that. But, I think its time to tread my own path. I want to be able to do whataver I want for a while.

Some might wonder, why am I not going on an expedition while staying in the squadron. Well, I am a responsible person by nature and as long as I am in my squadron, I will feel irresponsible if I just up and left my minor factions to their own devices. As such, I won't be able to enjoy flying free.

I have come to this decision after a lot of consideration and I think this will be the best for me in the short while. I don't know what's waiting for me in the future and I am not one to speculate but I sure hope that people will support my decisions. My mates at Knights of Karma will surely do.

I have a few ships with their names referencing the Knights of Karma and I won't rename any of them as a reminder where I have come from.

You will find me doing CG's, exploring the galaxy and doing whatever else fancies me at the moment.

To my mates at Knights of Karma, I will keep in touch and send postcards. o7.

Year 5 - My journey as a CMDR

Life is about the journey, not the destination
- Anonymous

Today marks 5 years since I got my Pilot's Federation license. 5 years since I first got called a Commander. It has been a journey worth looking back at. There has been periods of highs and moments of lows. But there has not been a day when I was not thankful for being a CMDR.

A journey where I spent only a couple of weeks flying aimlessly before being recruited by CMDR BloodDrunk. We took part in the Colonia Initiative and was successfully able to create a sister faction there under my leadership. I worked to organise the INRA Expedition to take CMDRs through the discovered INRA bases with TAOL escorting us. We almost lost our control over Solitude, our system in the Colonia region and we had to scramble over 21000 LY to protect what's ours. It was one of the scariest moments I had.

The First Great Planetary expedition was the most fun I have had in my career which incidentally was among the toughest things I did. Circumnavigating an entire planet on an SRV is a mind blowing thing but I was able to accomplish it in around 6 weeks. I had my first Hutton run at the mark of 3 years in my career. I had always planned to do it but was never able to take out the time for it. After 3 years of getting my license I thought its now or never. And thus I set out!

Right now, I am in a comfortable position. With 2 Elite ranks, posessing an Anaconda, T9 and T10, the corvette and the Clipper along with a Fleet Carrier, I think I did pretty good for myself. Nowadays, my main focus is in managing the BGS of our factions and doing the odd personal journey. I have a long standing wish of arranging another expedition but I have been getting busier and busier over the years.

A recent shot

I hope that the next 5 years would be as great as the past 5. Apart from purchasing a Fleet Carrier for myself, I have been grinding through the routine. Hence, it has been long since my last post.

I bought the carrier on a whim, since everyone was doing it. I have taken it around for a spin in the Imperial space during the station bombings where it acted as a mobile base while I rescued innocents. Apart from that, it acts as a base of operations in the fringe systems under our influence.

Things were going pretty well, when there was a sudden dip in our influence at Solitude. This dip was unexplained and in a few days, it went out of control and we soon triggered a conflict. This was bad! But, I soon found out that there were Fleet Carrier owners running a taxi service between the bubble and Colonia. So, I hopped on one, ISTS Interstellar, commanded by CMDR IM2D and within a day, I was in Solitude.

The war was brief. With CMDR Loopios7 by my side, we made short work of the enemy ships and the conflict ended in 3 days. But, it was then we got notice of something brewing near the bubble. I started hearing rumors that a derelict megaship was found with no one on board. Also, people have been talking about the Coalsack nebula, something about stones. This has me intrigued and thus I am back on the ISTS Interstellar on a journey back to the bubble. Hopefully, this rumors are just that and the year ends as uneventfully as it started. Nobody wants another threat after the recent resurgence of the Thargoids.

Docked and ready for departure from Colonia aboard ISTS Interstellar

Nebulae Run

At last I have reached my first waypoint of my journey towards Solitude. TRAIKAAE AA-A H2 Nebula. Not really interesting but a change for sore eyes nonetheless.

When I started out from Qa'wakana, I decided to take another scenic route, the previous one being a route I took while returning back to Qa'wakana last time. At that time, I took a route with strange worlds and systems, which you can find here. This time, in an attempt to do something different, I have decided to set my waypoints at the various nebulae on the way. And this brings me to my first nebula enroute.

TRAIKAAE AA-A H2 Nebula

I made this journey of a little more than 4800 LY in 15 days. Nothing to brag about, I know, but I took my time going from system to system. It was a relaxing experience to jump from to a system and look around, scan a few stuff, land at a geological site before moving to the next system instead of buckyballing all the way. At this rate, I might reach my destination in a couple of months or so.

My next waypoint is the Lagoon Nebula which is vertically below me in the galactic plane. This would mean, that I would be making no progress towards destination but it would another nebula in my book.

Which brings me to an idea I had. Nebulae are somewhat special to me. They always fascinate me and I always gravitate towards them. So, I am planning to go through my flight logs and make a note of the Nebulae that I have visited till now. I have made a post with the list so that I keep adding to them as I visit new nebulae.

Now I am off to the gaseous vistas of colour. Fly safe. o7

Hutton Run

I have done it. I have made the Hutton Run, without breaking a sweat.

The idea to do the Hutton Run now of all times came to me suddenly while I was preparing for my journey to Solitude. One of the reasons for the journey is for me to consolidate my assets and transfer my ships to our newly built shipyards in Knight's Retreat. Then it occurred to me why not do something big in the bubble before leaving. And the one big thing I never did in my 3 years as a CMDR is the Hutton Run.

Honestly I never felt like doing it. I know it is considered as a rite of passage, but I have always stayed away from the peer pressure and did things I wanted to do at my own pace. And so, I decided to do the run when I felt like it.

I had lots of ship options but I decided on my Krait Mk II since its my trusty mission runner. I replaced one of the cargo bays with an extra fuel tank, for good measure, and plotted a course to Alpha Centauri.

Once in system, I turned off all unneeded modules to save fuel and maneuvered towards the direction of Hutton Orbital. Then it was a long wait of 83 minutes.

Docked at Hutton Orbital

I completed the run without any incidents in 1 hour 23 minutes and 54 seconds, bought all the mugs they had and started back towards Qa'wakana for my final preparations.

Security Operations and inspection at Solitude

The last few months have been quite busy. With my newfound drive to recruit new members, I was able to get some fresh blood in our squadron and the same time was able to run a focused event every week.

I realised that we had bad security ratings in some of our backwater systems. So we decided to hold a weekly security operations in a system with bad security state. We had our 3rd session today and I must say that getting back into a wing and fighting the pirate lords was a breath of fresh air for me. CMDR Jorer took most of the heavy lifting while I tried to deliver as much damage I could while shield cell banking.

But then I realised that it was over a year since I had last visited Solitude. It was time for an inspection visit to see if everything was working fine for the Knights of Colonial Karma faction.

Thus I have decided to leave for Solitude sometime this week. I have passed over the reigns to host the weekly sec ops and will be out of the bubble for at least a couple of months. Hopefully I will make my Exploration Elite rank in this trip.

The First Great Planetary Expedition

All journeys come to an end. Even the greatest ones. A journey of mine came to an end today. But as they say, it's not the end but the journey itself that matters. And this journey was a very important one for me.

The past few months had been pretty hard on my life. I had lost people very important to me. Our squadron was shrinking due to CMDRs hanging their boots and no fresh blood. I was beginning to question my life as a CMDR myself. I decided to head out to the black, to the edge of the galaxy to have some time to think. Then I came to know of the The First Great Planetary Expedition. And it struck a chord with me.

I returned back to the bubble and contacted CMDR Alec Turner, who was heading the expedition. My only concern was the nature of the expedition. Now I am no buckyballer and certainly won't be able to finish a circumnavigation within days. Thankfully, everyone was very welcoming and my concerns were invalidated soon. We started out on the 27th March.

Today is the 50th day since. I have lost 4 of my 5 SRVs that I brought into the journey but other than that the journey was incident free. This gave me lots of time to think.

I have now become invigorated with purpose now. I have to bring activity back to our squadron, join the Interstellar Initiative, all the while keeping an eye on the BGS.

Reached the end

A journey has ended and another is about to start.

Back in the black

It has been a long time since I have made an entry. I have been mostly doing a desk job the past year, managing the faction, members and giving out orders. Which meant that whenever I stepped into my ship I would be going to one of our control systems to lay out plans and stop hostilities towards us. And there were a lot of hostilities. We had a conflict going on in one of our systems almost all the time and resolving conflicts takes a lot of effort, more so with the dwindling number of Knights.

To be honest this has taken the life out of me. It's not that I didn't like diplomacy, I do like it a lot still, but managing a faction meant that I could never leave the bubble. But the past couple of months has been fantastic for our faction. We have hardly lost ground. We had a single war that we won comfortably and I am at last feeling a bit relaxed. This made me realise that this is a good time for a change of pace for me. A good time to go back to my roots.

I joined the Pilot's Federation because I wanted to explore the galaxy. I had always been keen on exploring and that's how I started out as a Commander. Thus, I started to prep my Anaconda when I realised that this would be a good point to start doing a few things I intentionally never did. I have been a CMDR for a long time now and I kid you not, but I have never bought an SLF, let alone hire a crew member. So, I decided it was time to break this and purchased a Taipan for myself. I also hired Jadelyn Lowery, a Novice Pilot, to fly the Taipan as and when required. And with the preparations done, I plotted a course towards the Witch Head Nebula.

Starting from Qa'wakana

I am going to take this slow. And what better way than to duke it out in Eagles in a last man standing event. And so we had the 1st Knights of Karma Battle Royal at Qa'wakana on the 9th of June.

It was a fun couple of hours. The eagle being a small nimble ship is a joy to fly and a pain to hit with fixed weaponry. I had a blast, quite literally as I couldn't keep up with the others most of the time and was getting my ship destroyed often. Roughly meaning the rift of fear. The name itself sent chills down the spine of those who had any idea what those words meant. For years, the existence of the Formidine Rift was talked about in hushed voices while daredevil explorers spent months looking for anything out of ordinary. All met with failure. All until a year back!

The Formidine Rift was discovered when an unregistered beacon was found in a system 10,000 LY away from the bubble. This also indicated to 2 other locations, the Scutum-Sagittarii Conflux and the Hawking's Gap. All 3 locations exhibited the same outlook. Deserted and dead silent. Absolutely deserted bases were found on planets, lifeless except for some comms logs. These logs provided a chilling story behind the mystery.

All this mystery was the result of a backup plan undertaken by a secret group of individuals to protect humanity in the event of a thargoid invasion, something we are starting to fear more and more as days pass by. But this secret group purged all information, including those carrying it to protect its secret. But all secrets come to light. And so has the secret behind the Project Dynasty!

While returning from Solitude, the Scutum-Sagittarii Conflux region falls roughly on the way, so me and Roudybeest decided to take some time to visit these deserter sites once more. The deathly silence was still lingering but one needs to physically present to get some perspective on what had happened.

Conflux Beta Site

The project happened when Frame Shift Drives were not developed yet. It seems like yesterday when I scrambled over to Solitude to protect our assets after it fell to foreign hands. Things are stable and looking good, not so for the bubble though. What were rumors half a year ago is very much real. The Thargoids are here and with an agenda to cause mayhem. There have been reports of Thargoid presence in the core systems and this does not bode well for humanity. So, after 5 months I am finally returning back to Qa'wakana. Along with CMDR Roudybeest.

He came over to Solitude a few days ago, which is not his first trip. He told that he would start his return journey shortly and I took the opportunity to tag along. But to be honest, I am short on cash, for various reasons including the transfer of lots of engineered modules for my Type-9. So, we decided to make this a short expedition where we will be visiting some of the wonders along the way to the bubble.

Colonia nebula from the perspective of CMDR Roudybeest - Image by CMDR Roudybeest

I am making my to the first waypoint where I will meet up with CMDR Roudybeest as I write this. Power can be said to be the ability to do something. The ability to make a change. This ability in turn can create fear in the hearts of the living because the change might not be good for all. And this fear can in turn create control. But power does not necessarily has to be used for evil. One can combine power and responsibility and can create harmony instead of fear. This harmony brings faith on those who are powerful and thus can create control.

We believe in bringing harmony through our actions and for that we need to show our power.

Our power was shown to all when we staged a coup in Solitude and overthrew the controlling faction, Infinity's End Deep Space Company, and got back control of our home. Since we believe in harmony, we needed the coup to be completed as quickly as possible. We were able to complete the coup in a war that lasted only 3 days.

The war was fought with utmost precision. CMDR Jorer, CMDR Blood Drunk and CMDR Oddlock fought valiantly alongside me and we won the war without losses in between us. We are looking forward to times of serenity once more.

With the system back in hand, I am planning to spend some days idling around. I find mining to be particularly soothing and I just offloaded a couple of hundred tons of ore at Knight's Retreat.

Preparing to offload mined ores

Let's see what the future presents. Loosing control of Solitude was probably the worst thing to happen to us. And we had to change that as soon as possible.

After lots of discussion, CMDR Jason Wolfe suggested that the best way forward would be straight out undermining Infinity's End Deep Space Company in Solitude. We needed to bring out our big guns. And for me, it meant I needed my Lance of Karma. It took me a couple of days to get my modules for the Fer-de-Lance transferred from Qa'wakana to Solitude. Meanwhile, CMDR Jorer had started out his undermining activities.

Our efforts didn't bear fruit immediately. I realised that there was a need to contact someone from the invading group. I started going through archives looking for something that might point to someone leading this group. Official archives returned no result and I was about to give up when suddenly I struck gold. A certain person going by the handle Spidey dmd had made an off hand reference to leading a group called Infinity's End Deep Space Company in an ongoing discussion. We cross referenced the name to all known channels of communication and to my surprise CMDR Jorer found out that he was a leader to a faction the Knights of Karma were already allied with, the Celestial Light Brigade.

I opened up a channel of communication with him. The conversation with him was pretty brief. The Infinity's End Deep Space Company never intended to take control of anybodies home system. Their rise to the control of the system was an unintended effect of some of their CMDRs just favouring our system for doing missions. I called for a cease and desist on any activity by any of their CMDRs in Solitude. Frankly, I had thought the Infinity's End Deep Space Company to be the bad guys and I thought they wouldn't comply but they did. In the end, they were just another peaceful group like us and their activities just had the unintended effect of gaining control over our system.

With the communication channels established, we continued our undermining and got results in 2 days. On the 17th of December, 3303, our influenced leapfrogged theirs.

Currently, we have enough influence over Solitude to overthrow Infinity's End Deep Space Company but we are at loggerheads with Radio Sidewinder Galactic in Far Tauri and they are probably preparing for war. We can't ignore that. We have already opened communication channels with Radio Sidewinder Galactic so that we can have a peaceful outcome and proceed with regaining rightful control to what is ours.

We are in for some pretty tumultuous days in here and we hope that when the dust settles, we can have some long peaceful times at Knight's Retreat.

— Post Image by CMDR Robert Trebor

Home away from home - Start of a journey

Everything is packed and I am all set to go.

I planned to take my time, discover a few star systems, maybe an Earth-like World but the news we received was the worst in months.

We were attacked in Solitude and have lost influence rapidly. The attackers, a faction called Infinity's End Deep Space Company had launched a massive attack and were in the process of taking over the system. Looking at the trends it seemed impossible to stop them before reinforcements could be sent.

I left immediately. I made a check of the reinforcements that could be called. CMDR Jorer and CMDR Blood Drunk started preparing their ships for the journey. CMDR Roudybeest was exploring nearby Colonia and a message was dispatched to him. The journey took a day including rest stops but by the time we reached, we had already lost the system. A first in the glorious record of the Knights of Karma.

Whoever these people are, they are probably the worst kind of group. But they have highly underestimated us. They are going to pay for their actions. In full.

Currently, I am preparing my Fer-de-Lance by transferring the modules I engineered. Once ready, we are going to show that it was a really bad idea to mess with us.
